It appears from various sources that it is not just men who worry about going bald but also their immediate family. We have reports that show that parents who have young sons who have started to experience male pattern balding worry almost as much about the condition as the sons themselves do. Fathers who have been through the stresses and strains of losing their hair worry about it too and emphasise with their sons as they know what it is like to slowly start to go bald. Girlfriends and wives are also worriers when it comes to their partner’s or husband’s hair loss and they are often concerned about how to talk about the subject or whether to just ignore the problem and pretend it is not there.
Male pattern balding is a completely genetic problem and not really an illness but nevertheless the stress of it can affect relationships and make men lose their confidence and become moody and insecure. It is especially stressful for younger men as less of their peers are bald and so they will stand out of the crowd more. Older men don’t worry so much about hair loss as so many of them suffer from it.
It is probably a good thing for wives and girlfriends to bring up the issue and to reassure men that it will not be a problem if they end up bald, as this will relax the man. Some men have the confidence to be able to joke about their hair loss problem but others do not have it and so they should be treated with care and sympathy.
There are good treatments available for male pattern baldness the most effective being Propecia that is taken orally in the form of a simple tablet. Ukmedix can give you hair loss advice and even help you get medication for hair loss. You can also discuss hair loss issues on the website forum.
