If you look on the internet there is lots and lots of advice for men about what to eat if they want to stop going bald. At Ukmedix News we are obviously in favour of eating a good diet but eating healthy is unfortunately going to have a very minimal impact and probably no impact on the rate of your hair loss.

The reason for this is that male pattern baldness is not caused by a vitamin or nutritional deficiency but is a completely natural and normal process which the majority of men will experience in their lives. Getting more iron or zinc in your diet will have no impact on your hair loss and you would only experience hair loss as a result of a poor diet if you were practically starving.
However, there is one important aspect of what you eat which connects to male pattern baldness and that is that if you are losing hair you should be making more of an effort with your diet in order to make yourself look good. Eating healthily can improve your skin, make you look younger and this is obviously something you really need if you are losing your hair.
In fact, we sometimes get a little annoyed in the Ukmedix Newsroom when we read about so called nutritional and health experts advising men who are losing their hair to eat anything from prunes, green peas and even walnuts! This sort of advice gives men a false sense of hope and puts them off from getting real medical help which they should be doing sooner rather than later. A man who has waited six months trying to grow his hair by eating lots of walnuts is at a big disadvantage compared to the man who immediately got a professional medical advice.
There are tried and tested medications which have proven to significantly impact on the rate of hair loss experienced by men with male pattern baldness. The hair loss medication Propecia which is made by Merck has prevented millions of men from going completely bald around the world. It has been subjected to more clinical testing than any other hair loss medication ever and the results show success in around 90 percent of cases.
