There’s nothing better than having a head of your own hair

At Ukmedix News we understand what both men and women go through when they start to lose their hair and the desperation they feel. There are two types of hair loss remedies, those that deal with the root problem of the hair loss and those which are cosmetic remedies which disguise the problem.

Now we have no problem with cosmetic hair loss remedies at Ukmedix News but it is important that people realize that these remedies can lull you into a false sense of security and well being about your hair loss problem. Using a cosmetic hair loss remedy is a bit like patching up a damp wall without dealing with why the wall is damp in the first place. In fact the underlying problem could be getting worse without you realizing it.

Caution Advised With Cosmetic Hair Loss Remedies

There are many powders and sprays which can be applied directly onto the scalp which thicken the individual hairs by coating them or which colour the scalp in the same shade as your hair so that the balding patches are less evident. These hair loss powders and sprays are popular and are effective in the short term but we feel that we must warn you that in the long term you will only be fighting a losing battle.

It is important that you understand exactly what is causing your hair loss because there are a number of remedies around which could mean that you don’t have to use the cosmetic applications. For men the most effective hair loss remedy on the market is the drug Propecia which is successful in as many as 90 percent of cases in either slowing, stopping or even regrowing hair on the scalp. For women (who must not use Propecia) hormonal imbalances or stress could be the problem and you should see a doctor about this before trying cosmetic remedies.

There’s nothing better than having a head of your own hair rather than relying on a cosmetic application so your first point of call should always be a doctor who knows what he’s talking about.
