Can Protein Shakes Cause Hair Loss

not all Protein shakes are the same

Is there any link between the use of Protein shakes and an acceleration in male pattern baldness?  Well, there are differing opinions on this subject. Natural protein which is found in food is an essential part of a healthy diet and a healthy diet is conducive to healthy skin and healthy hair.

The problem however is that not all Protein shakes are the same. There are some which are completely organic and therefore only contain natural forms of protein but there are also those which contain things like branched amino acids and other powerful compounds which could boost the production of testosterone and dihydrotestosterone in the body.

Dihydrotestosterone is the main cause of male pattern hair loss in men but there's no evidence that working out and lifting heavy weights which in itself produces testosterone causes more hair loss. You should always remember that male pattern baldness is primarily a genetic process and therefore it is unlikely that any external influences unless they are very extreme will impact on the rate of hair loss.

At Ukmedix News we would advise people who work out in the gym to just focus on getting a very healthy diet and to make sure that you have a good balance of protein, carbohydrates and natural fats in your diet. You should be wary of protein shakes because while some of them are likely to help you grow muscle, some of them have a whole lot of chemicals which you could probably do without.

You also need to watch out for pills and supplements which bodybuilders use because they may contain anabolic steroids which can have nasty side effects including hair loss and male hormonal problems.

Living a healthy life, eating healthy and generally using your common sense when it comes to diet and exercise will make sure that your hair will be as healthy as it possibly can be.

The only approved medication to treat male pattern baldness is the description drug Propecia.

Why have the artificial when you can eat real protein? Meat, chicken, fish, eggs, cheese, jelly or jello!, etc.
