In our research at Ukmedix News we come across literally hundreds of different hair loss remedies from different parts of the world some of which have been handed down from generation to generation. One particular hair loss remedy which made us all sit up in the Ukmedix newsroom is one which is an ancient remedy handed down from Ancient Islam all the way back to the Prophet Mohammed and which is apparently still being used by men and women all over the Arab world.

The remedy is believe it or not Camel urine! Proponents of the Camel urine hair loss remedy say that it strengthens the hair follicles on the scalp, reduces the rate of hair loss and gives hair a healthy looking appearance. Recently the television network al-Arabiya reported that Hair salons commonly use camel urine as a tonic and it sells for as much as $4.00 for one litre. Not only is it used as the hair tonic but some Arab researchers even say that drinking it is good for your liver; a claim which was denied by the University of Sanaa in Yemen.
Ukmedix News has also researched other stories about cow dung and other foul smelling remedies that are said to cure male pattern baldness but unfortunately can find no clinical evidence that they work. It might be worth considering that even if you do manage to grow some hair using Camel urine you will smell pretty disgusting and so that it might not actually be worth the effort!
The most important thing to remember with hair loss remedies is that they must be clinically tested independently by a reputable health authority so that you can clearly see whether they are effective or not. There are many popular hair loss remedies that cannot even prove a one percent increase in hair growth but nevertheless continue to be used by gullible and desperate men and women.
