Botox For Balding Heads Could Be Effective

Reports appearing in two British national papers claim that by using the Botox drug you may remedy hair loss in both men and women. The reports which were published in the Sun Newspaper and the Daily Telegraph said that Dr Simon Ourian who works as a plastic surgeon in Beverly Hills, California had come across the hair restoration effects of Botox completely by accident.

Dr Ourian said that he had been treating his mother who had been experiencing migraines after chemotherapy when he realised that her hair was growing back in the areas where the Botox had been injected into her scalp. Botox is sometimes used as a treatment for headaches but is better known for the treatment of facial wrinkles. Dr Ourian claims that he has been testing his Botox discovery on volunteers over the last few years and has even added vitamins to it in order to make it even more effective.
The treatment has not undergone any regulated clinical testing at present but there seems to be some logic behind the claims of Dr Ourian especially as Botox dilates blood vessels and this could enable better blood flow and better absorption of nutrients into the scalp. However at Ukmedix News we would like to remind readers that in the case of men even if Botox injections do have an effect on hair growth on the scalp, the treatment will not be a permanent solution to hair loss and is likely only to slow down the degenerative process of male pattern baldness.
Many years of clinical testing will be required before Botox can be definitely proven to be an effective hair loss treatment and for the meantime men should be wary of it. Ukmedix is committed to sourcing the best male pattern baldness remedies that exist on the market and presently recommend the hair loss drug Propecia which has been proven in clinical tests to be the most effective treatment today.
