The association between erectile dysfunction and the game of golf has been compounded over the last few years after the pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly sponsored The Western Open golfing tournament and named it the Cialis Western Open. To many people images of white haired men swapping erectile dysfunction tablets and advice on how to deal with impotence in golf clubs come to mind following this heavy promotion of Cialis.

However it is worth knowing that older men who play golf on a regular basis are less likely to suffer erectile dysfunction than men who sit behind a desk all day and who don’t get out. In fact golf is the ideal sport to play for men getting on in their years and who want to keep in good shape and maintain good erectile function.
Golf not only involves plenty of walking over a considerable period of time but keeps muscles in good working order while at the same time does not involve excess exertion which could be dangerous for men over the age of 50. Golf is a game which can be played by elderly men with a certain amount of dignity unlike many other sports.
Golf is extremely social and provides great opportunity for meeting new people. If you are getting on age wise and require a good fun sport to play while at the same time keeping healthy golf is the way forward.
For younger men the problem with golf is that they don’t have enough time on their hands to spend hours walking around a golf course but for men who are retired and who want to get out of the house a round of golf is perfect.
Don’t assume that because you have reached a certain old age you should stop exercising as there is no reason why you cannot get a little bit of gentle exercise up until the day you die. Men who keep themselves in shape not only have a better quality of life because they are more mobile, healthier and less likely to suffer from dementia but also have significantly better erectile function than their non exercising peers.
