Cialis Could Help Muscular Dystrophy Sufferers

it is hoped that the new clinical testing will have the same effect on men

A cardiology researcher from the Cedars-Sinai Heart Institute has been studying whether the use of the erectile dysfunction medication Cialis could be effective in boosting blood flow in people suffering from muscular dystrophy. Professor Ronald G. Victor explained that studies had already shown that Cialis was effective when given to mice who had an animal type of muscular dystrophy and now he wanted to conduct a study to show whether Cialis was effective in humans. In the same way that the Cialis improves blood flow in dystrophic mice which allows them to do more exercise without harming their muscles it is hoped that the new clinical testing will have the same effect on men.

Cialis Could Help Muscular Dystrophy Sufferers

For the new trial the men will be given to Cialis doses before exercising, with a team of doctors monitoring blood flow throughout the exercise routine.  Male volunteers between 18 and 55 suffering from Becker muscular dystrophy as well as men who don’t have it are needed to conduct this research.  The doctors will be asking the volunteers to undergo hand grip tests, oxygen monitoring as well as being subjected to magnetic resonance imaging of their muscles.

Professor Victor said one of the great things about this research was that the drug had been extensively tested in men and therefore its side effects were well known and it was known to be safe. One thing which we have always observed at Ukmedix News is that whenever volunteers are required for research projects involving either Viagra, Cialis or Levitra that there is never a shortage of applicants.

The well known and obvious ‘side effects’ of these drugs are why they are among the most often prescribed medications today. Another recent research project which looked at whether erectile dysfunction medication could help people suffering from head tumours saw that as well as having a possible beneficial effect in shrinking them, noted that all of the men were in a much better mood and more positive about the future!
