Eli Lilly is stepping up operations and will soon begin to sell its erectile dysfunction drug Cialis in Japan. Eli Lilly are hoping to knock the best-selling impotence drug Viagra from the top spot soon. They have come up with many different marketing plans and initiatives and the most obvious one involves the use of using private practitioners to prescribe their drug. They will be using a campaign of Cialis information, free samples and anything else allowed by law to get private doctors in Japan aware of the benefits and uses of the impotence drug.

Of all the marketing battles in the world, the marketing battles between Viagra Cialis and Levitra are up there with the greatest. Literally billions of pounds have been spent promoting these three medicines and today literally billions of pounds worth every year are bought by impotent men on one of the three drugs. At present Viagra is the world’s best selling erectile dysfunction drug but Cialis is catching up and can now claim to be the number one impotence drug in a number of countries including France.
Cialis has one big advantage over the other two which contributes greatly to its popularity and this is that it remains effective for as long as 36 hours which is far longer than the time span for the other two, Viagra and Levitra which only work for four hours.
Eli Lilly have not actually been given the full go ahead by the Japanese health authorities to market and sell Cialis in Japan yet however since the other two are readily available [Viagra and Levitra], there really should be no problem whatsoever for Cialis to join in the erectile dysfunction market. It is expected that sometime after June 2007 all the necessary paperwork and permits to be allowed to sell Cialis in Japan will be in place.
