All Quiet On The Cialis Front

Written by Stuart Stevens | Friday, 23 February 2007

It seems all quiet on the Cialis front now...

There has been very little news from Eli Lilly, (the new complete owners of the impotence drug Cialis) on the Once A Day version of their erectile dysfunction medication. About 6 months ago the medical establishment was awash with stories of how Lilly ICOS, were going to apply to the FDA to have a lower dose version of Cialis licenced.

All Quiet On The Cialis Front

The idea was that men could take Cialis everyday so that they would always be ready for sex and wouldn’t have to fumble around for pills when an opportunity presented itself. Market analysts said that this Cialis Once A Day version of the 2nd best selling erectile dysfunction drug in the world could seriously boost Cialis sales and take it into the No.1 position beating Viagra.

But all seems quiet now and forgotten. It may be that the idea was just released to the press so that the medical establishment’s opinion could be sought on the new idea and any objections raised before serious money was spent on its development. It could also be that the company has been so busy with the recent sale of ICOS’s shares in the company that other things have been left on the back shelf. It is likely that when Eli Lilly sort out all the restructuring that is needed now that they are in full control of the company new Cialis ideas will start to come out of the company.

Cialis is unique in that unlike Viagra and Levitra it can be active for as long as 36 hours meaning that one tablet can last for most of a weekend and we believe at Ukmedix News that this is why it has been responsible for stealing market share from Viagra and Levitra.

It seems all quiet on the Cialis front now but in a few months we expect some big news from Cialis as it takes on the world’s number 1 erectile dysfunction drug Viagra and goes for the top spot.
