The company did not even bother to try and defend themselves and immediately pleaded guilty to all of the charges. They were called red handed especially as all the packages that contained the Cialis drug were labeled as chlorine. This investigation and eventual seizure of the drugs had been carrying on for a number of years and undercover agents had been working hard to find the source of the fake Cialis. In October, 2004 a similar shipment was picked up in Israel and was eventually traced back to the Indian company.

The major drug companies who make erectile dysfunction drugs have been employing their own undercover agents to help national police forces catch the criminals and get them behind bars. It is in their financial interest to do this as they lose so much in sales from the fake drugs. Vee Excel Drugs has already agreed to hand over all of the cash that it has and paid half a million dollars in fines. It is also likely that following the official sentencing in the case some of the directors will end up behind bars.
