Eli Lilly say that they are catching up with Viagra fast in terms of market share and they are still clinging on to their ambition of being the world’s number erectile dysfunction drug. Cialis that comes in the form of a little yellow pill as opposed to a Viagra little blue pill works like Viagra in that it is a PDE-5 inhibitor that means that it opens up the arteries of the penile area to provide more blood to the penis that creates a hard erection.
Cialis though is slightly different and this is probably why it is so successful as it works for much longer than the 4 hours that Viagra works for and can claim to be effective for as much as 36 hours. Eli Lilly made a clever move in trying to differentiate their erectile dysfunction drug Cialis from Viagra and its long lasting effectiveness with one dose means that men can be more spontaneous with their sex and don’t always have to plan everything down to the last minute.
According to statistics released by Eli Lilly Cialis took an extra 3% market share last year and the sales on the drug have been going continually up. The company even claim that at the present rate of growth the Cialis erectile dysfunction medication could be the No.1 erectile dysfunction drug in the world in one year’s time, except in America where Viagra still has a very firm hold.
Eli Lilly also claim that Viagra has just under 50% of the market for impotence drugs whereas Cialis has 35.5% with the remaining market share taken by the Levitra impotence drug made by Bayer and GSK. You can see what different people think about the effectiveness of Cialis, Viagra and Levitra on the Ukmedix forums where people are free to discuss different sexual issues and remedies for erectile dysfunction.
