If you want make some money over the next few weeks and you are living in the United Arab Emirates you are being given an unique opportunity as the government has announced a campaign to get people to quit smoking. They have said that they will give those people who quit £2,000 if they become completely smoke free and stay that way after Ramadan.

Twalib Ibrahim Al Merri speaking on behalf of the UAE government explained that it was important to take “advantage of Ramadan” and he stressed that if it was possible for smokers to go a whole day without lighting up they could definitely do their whole life without smoking too.
The way the campaign will work is that those people who register for this smoking cessation initiative will be subjected to medical testing now and also when Ramadan finishes. If their medical tests show that they have no smoking related drugs in their system they will be given their prize and a further two £1,000 prizes will be given later on if they still are smoke free. If they do however start to smoke they will have to give all the money back.
Research projects which we have followed at Ukmedix News show that the biggest incentive for people to quit smoking is always hard cash, much more so than warning people about the dangers of smoking. The great thing about this initiative from the United Arab Emirates is that smokers will not just to be given a cash prize but will also save a huge amount of money over the year by not having to buy cigarettes. They will also feel better, be more productive at work and be able to save on medical care.
Ukmedix News reckons that this is one of the best smoking cessation initiatives we have ever come across and our message to people living in the United Arab Emirates is ‘CARPE DIEM’.
