You're going to die if you keep doing that

The legendary actor Tony Curtis who passed away recently battled with a smoking addiction for most of his life. Publicly he admitted that he hated smoking, preached to anybody who would listen to him that smoking was bad for you but nevertheless still struggled to completely rid his body of the nicotine curse.

tony curtis warned michael caine to quit smoking

The English actor Sir Michael Caine said that the first time he came across Tony Curtis he was given a lecture about the dangers of smoking. Tony told him, "You are going to die if you keep doing that" and threw his cigarettes into the fire. Sir Michael said that he eventually gave up but said that he knew that Tony still smoked occasionally.

Tony Curtis was one of those people who are often referred to as "Born Again Nonsmokers", and they go around preaching about the dangers of cigarettes as a way to remind themselves why they quit smoking, and they are especially vocal when they feel an urge to light up. At Ukmedix News we'd be prepared to bet that the reason Tony Curtis had a go at Michael Caine for his smoking was that he himself was tempted to light up at that moment!

Tony Curtis who died from a heart attack at the age of 85 was one of those people who loved life and lived everything to the full. Sometimes people with this sort of personality find quitting smoking more difficult than more reserved and careful individuals.

A lot of smoking addictions are psychological rather than purely physical and that is why living a celebrity high life with glamorous and wild parties makes it even more difficult to quit. With everybody smoking around you it's so difficult not to light up especially if you project the aura of sophisticated invincibility like Tony Curtis.

If he died at 85 I don't think one can blame anything but old age being the reason.
we all have to go sometime, hopefully not before we are 80 years old.
