Smoking will eventually get you....

The time of year when everybody has good intentions and smokers often reflect on their lives and decide to take the step to quit at the beginning of the year is nigh.  If you are one of those people who has taken the plunge we want to wish you the best of luck at Ukmedix News. We have had a great deal of experience in helping people who want to quit and one of the best things you can do is constantly remind yourself about why you are quitting. By reading news articles about the dangers of smoking and also focusing on the positive aspects of being smoke free you can greatly increase your chances of success. Have a look below for some other less obvious reasons why you should be kicking the smoking habit.

smoking causes dementia, early menopause, impotence.......

Did you know for example that smoking has a significant effect on the sex lives of both men and women. Men are much more likely to suffer from erectile dysfunction if they smoke and women bring on menopause earlier by smoking when compared to nonsmoking women. Is your cigarette habit really worth suffering from impotence or early menopause? Do you really love it that much!?

Most of the problems of smoking tend to materialise in men and women when they get to their thirties and beyond. Young smokers think that they are invincible and that they have nothing to worry about. The problem with smoking however is that it does permanent damage to your bodies which might not be apparent when you are young but will comes to haunt you when you get older and you get sick.

When you are young your body easily regenerates cells and thus the effects of smoking are not so apparent, but as you get older your body cannot recover from smoking and that is when you get very sick.

Smoking has shown to be an indicator in the development of dementia and other cognitive illnesses. Smoking slows down the efficient circulation of blood in the brain which affects memory and has been even linked to higher rates of Alzheimer's disease.

In fact there are so many reasons why you shouldn't smoke that the habit can only be classified as ridiculous and stupid. It's a bit like telling people that they shouldn't drink vodka for breakfast every morning, or go swimming with sharks. Yes, they might enjoy it for a little bit but at the end of the day they'll get hurt!

You can run but you can't hide. Smoking will eventually get you....
