Ramadan Is The Best Time To Quit

Muslims all around the world have just started Ramadan which means that from the moment the sun comes up, to the time the sun goes down they are not allowed to put anything in their mouths and that includes cigarettes.

Heavily addicted smokers suffer a lot during Ramadan and they should take this opportunity to quit for good. As they have such a big head start every single day and they don’t smoke when they are asleep either, the window of opportunity to actually light up is only maybe five or six hours every day.
Muslim smokers should encourage each other to quit smoking over this religious festival and should form groups together to give each other motivational support. At Ukmedix News we have seen many research projects which show that those people who quit together with a sense of purpose are far more likely to succeed in their smoking cessation attempt. Catholics often use Lent at a time to quit smoking permanently too as it gives the whole smoking cessation attempt a greater meaning and significance.
Muslims can make use of smoking cessation therapies during Ramadan such as counseling, hypnotherapy or smoking cessation medications such as Champix. Muslims should also ask for strength and courage when they pray to maintain their smoke free status throughout Ramadan.
Smoking is the single largest cause of preventable death in the western world and kills millions of people needlessly. At Ukmedix News we deplore smoking and we want to help in any way we can. Our readers say that the hundreds of articles which we publish about smoking every year are a great inspiration to them to stay smoke free and many of them also say that the original initiative to quit smoking came from us.
You can easily join the hundreds of smoke free individuals who have taken control of their lives and have thrown out cigarettes and are now living a better quality of life. All you need is a little bit of will power and a little bit of help.
