Are you going to smoke for another whole year or is 2011 going to be the year when you took the step to quit for good? At the beginning of the year everybody has New Year's Resolutions and the truth is the majority of us fail in them but if your resolution is to quit smoking you really can't afford to fail and here's why.

Some of us make resolutions like promising to go to the gym more often, lose a little bit of weight, work harder and generally anything which we know is good for but at the same time is difficult. We see it as making a bit of effort to get some sort of reward and we hope that the effort somehow justifies the reward. Smoking however is completely different because even though the effort will be considerable and there are times when you will crave cigarettes chronically the reward will always be much much bigger than the effort you put in.
Quitting smoking is the single biggest step you can take to improve your health. Or to put it in a blunter way, when you quit smoking you reduce the chances of suffering from a slow and painful death. Instead of gasping your way to death with agonizing pains shooting through your body you could lengthen your life and boost the quality of your golden years.
Everybody eventually regrets smoking. Even if you are reading this and reckoning that you are different and that you really enjoy smoking you are either pretty stupid or you have managed to delude yourself by clutching onto random statistics and saying things like "my friend grandmother was a smoker and she lived until 90."
Say what you like, but if you don't quit smoking in 2011 you will one day regret it. We understand addictions at Ukmedix News and we know that the first thing to do is to face up to them and admit them to yourself.
Get a doctor's consultation if you need help to quit smoking and get your life back on track.
