Part Time Smokers Are In Danger Too

Because it is difficult to smoke in so many different places these days in the United Kingdom the number of what are termed ‘part time smokers’ has risen considerably. Part time smokers are people who don’t really think about smoking much during the day because they can’t smoke at work, they often find that they can’t smoke when they go for a drink after work and even when they go home it is a no smoking zone. However the moment the opportunity presents itself they light up and smoke away freely. In fact heavy smokers find it so much more difficult these days to find the time and space to get through a packet or more a day and they spend their lives running from one smoking area to another.

Many people think that because they only smoke when the opportunity presents itself they are somehow immune from the dangers of smoking. They talk about how they are not really addicted and just have the odd one or two but in fact they suffer from the worst type of smoking addiction which is the psychological one. If you are a person who finds it impossible not to smoke when at a party, with a drink or because of some other smoking trigger you have a serious smoking problem which is only likely to get worse over the years.
Never forget that just having a few cigarettes a day is still deadly and still greatly increases the chances of you suffering from heart disease, cancer and many other illnesses. According to Thomas R. Frieden one time Health Commissioner of New York City studies show that even three cigarettes a day “drastically increases” the chances of having a heart attack or suffering from a stroke.
People use all sorts of different excuses to justify their smoking. There are those who say they smoke in order to watch their weight, those who say that they only smoke to relieve stress and even those who say that they are scared that they won’t be able to cope without cigarettes. These people need to be warned that all of these problems will pale into insignificance compared to chemotherapy for lung cancer or emphysema.
Ukmedix advises people to stop pussyfooting around and get on with quitting once and for all! This could be the best bit of advice you have ever ever been given!

the best therapy for these people would be for them to do some voluntary work in a cancer ward! That would soon change their minds when they see the pain and devastation of the patient and family.
