nobody was allowed to smoke in front of him!

North Korea's dictator Kim Jong-il seems to nurture a love hate relationship with smoking. He has been photographed many times in the past smoking away but following illness was reported to have quit smoking completely. He was also recorded as enacting a completely different sort of smoking ban in his country which was basically that nobody was allowed to smoke in front of him!

Kim Jong-il Of North Korea Smoking Again

Kim, at the time that he had reportedly given up smoking also initiated public health campaigns warning men and women of the evils of smoking. North Korea has some of the highest statistics regarding the number of people smoking and has produced a number of its own cigarette brands which are popular with the local population. North Korea has participated in “The World No Tobacco Day” and has even produced smoking cessation medication which is supposed to ease the affects of smoking withdrawal.

However new photographs coming to light show that last week Kim definitely had a puff or two. On State television while touring a cigarette factory he was filmed having a few drags on a cigarette produced by the factory. The implication was that he was just trying a cigarette casually as part of his duty to inspect state run factories.

It is unlikely however that Kim who has reportedly suffered from a stroke has beaten his smoking habit completely if he is casually having the odd cigarettes or two. From our studies at Ukmedix News we know that most hardened smoking addicts are not able to have the odd cigarette without completely succumbing to their habit again.

Therefore take it from us at Ukmedix News that the leader of North Korea is on the fast track to a smoking related illness which will kill him over the next few years!
