Gallup Survey Shows Smokers Have Little Respect

not only do you look stupid smoking but you probably also feel stupid

One thing which many smokers are increasingly becoming aware of is that their smoking habit makes them look weak and stupid. A survey done in America by Gallup shows that the number of people who say that they respect a person less when they smoke is on the increase.  In 1990 only fourteen percent of people interviewed said that they had less respect for smokers but now this figure has risen to 25 percent.  Even five percent of former smokers who would obviously understand the difficulty of quitting smoking have little respect for existing smokers.

When you were a teenager smoking was probably quite cool among your peers and as you progressed into your twenties you probably could still get away with it, but smoking in your thirties just makes you look like an idiot. You can argue as much as you like about the right to do what you want and smoke if you want to but not only do you look stupid smoking in your thirties but you probably also feel pretty stupid!

If you are smoking in your thirties you either reckon that smoking is still cool and hip or you are just hopelessly addicted. Trying to argue that you like smoking and you enjoy it is a futile argument because the huge amount of evidence out their shows the rewards are minuscule compared to the risks.

There is also evidence that shows that people who are still smoking in their thirties are unable to get their lives on track and are depressed or anxious. Doctor Marc Lipton a clinical psychologist estimated that around a third of his clients who come to him to help with quitting smoking are suffering from anxiety and depression and that they needed to deal with these problems to increase their chances of quitting.

The worst thing you can do is procrastinate about quitting smoking. The only time to quit smoking is right now and Ukmedix can help you with an online consultation with a UK doctor.
