Ever Lurking Danger Of Your Addiction...Watch Out...

Never underestimate the lurking danger of your dormant smoking addiction

Did you quit smoking on New Year’s Eve? If you did and you are still smoke free you are probably feeling pretty pleased with yourself and pretty confident that you have kicked your smoking habit in the teeth! At Ukmedix News however we want to warn you that you need to be extra vigilant because this confidence could make you lower your guard and lead you to get cocky.

ever lurking danger of your addiction...watch out...

Never underestimate the lurking danger of your temporarily dormant smoking addiction and remember that it could strike back at any point!! So many ex smokers who have been smoke free for a few weeks think that because they have mastered their addiction they are entitled to have the odd cigarette. After all they say to themselves they managed to quit before, so what is one cigarette going to do?

If there is one thing that we have learned at Ukmedix News it is that the one cigarette you have weeks after you have quit is probably the most deadly cigarette you will ever smoke and could be the cigarette which ultimately gets you smoking again and therefore kills you!

You need to focus on that one cigarette or even that 1 puff of someone elses cigarette as the one that will do you an incredible amount of harm. Alcohol is the cigarettes best friend because it gives you confidence, bravado and skewers your take on reality! If you have had a few drinks and you think it is OK to have a cigarette it is only because you are not thinking straight!

Focus on all of the effort that you have made to get this far, think of your loved ones who depend on you to be fit and healthy and who will be very upset if you smoke again. Don’t throw away your life and try and justify a stupid stupid smoking habit!

I stopped smoking 12years ago and am so happy about it, but occasionally I still feel like one, but it goes away quickly if you are determined.
