Even Quitting When 90 Is Worth It

One of the stupidest things that people often say when talking about why they won’t quit is that the damage has “already been done” and that there is no point them quitting now! They even sometimes argue that because of their age these strains and stress of quitting could actually cause them more health problems.

Well, for those people out there Ukmedix News has got some information for you, which is that every single clinical study ever done shows the opposite to apply.
In fact the longer you smoke for the more damage you do to your body and therefore the weaker it becomes to disease and illness. You should look at the damage you do to your body from smoking as an exponential curve over time. By quitting when you have already done a lot of damage to your body actually creates a much more drastic change to your rate of health decline then when you have only done a little bit of damage.
Recently Ukmedix News heard of the case of Mr.Roy Clonts who took up smoking at the age of ten back in 1928. Mr. Clonts who can claim to have smoked for over 80 years recently decided to quit because he was beginning to suffer from dementia and severe pain in his legs. Many people said “what on earth for, after all he’s now 92 years old!”, but in fact he is already reaping the benefits because his leg pain which is caused by bad circulation has disappeared he is mentally much more alert and he has stopped coughing.
If you are suffering from any practically every illness from a common cold to cancer or heart disease, quitting smoking will have a very significant positive effect on your overall health. The idea that it is ever too late to quit must be one of the stupidest thing that anybody could ever say about smoking. The fact that Mr. Clonts at the age of 92 is reaping health benefits from quitting smoking and will now enjoy the last years of his life without pain, coughing and mental confusion should be proof enough of the restorative powers of the body even in old age.
So to the elderly out there… Be Like Nike and Just Do It! Mr Clonts did…
