the deep and intense emotional relationship which he had with cigarettes

The movie star Colin Farrell who has finally come to terms with his wild living and crazy partying recently spoke about how he quit smoking. Colin who was 34 years old when he quit on his birthday said that the day before he smoked masses all alone and savoured each and every puff.

His idea was that he was breaking up with tobacco and cigarettes in the same way that you would break up with a girlfriend who you cared about but was doing you harm. He even went as far as to write out a breakup letter to his cigarettes which consisted of talking about the good times that he had had with cigarettes, the first time he smoked and the support that cigarettes had given him.

It sounds pretty weird but at least what Colin Farrell was doing was admitting the deep and intense emotional relationship which he had with cigarettes which many people underestimate. One thing that many smokers will say is that being alone with cigarettes is not as bad as being alone without them.

For example if you are traveling with cigarettes it is a great way to meet people and make friends. Another thing which cigarettes give you is a certain identity which you lose when you quit. If you are fragile and insecure about your identity smoking can actually help you boost your confidence especially if you are young.

We all have different ways of looking at cigarettes. For some of us it is a way of relaxing and for others it is part of our identity but the important thing is that you identify what smoking means to you before you try to quit so that you can deal with the loss that you will experience.

It is possible to get help to quit smoking by having an online consultation with a UK doctor at the Ukmedix web site.

It could mean life if you give it up! You would be doing this not only for yourself but for your families too, I'm sure they want you around.
