Teenagers Beware

The older you get the more likely you are to get sick from cigarettes

What happens to lots of people is that they start to smoke when they are in their teens when they feel indestructible and it is extremely fashionable to smoke but by the time they arrive at their late twenties and smoking is becoming increasingly antisocial they find that they are so used to the habit that they just can’t quit.
The fact is that smoking in your late twenties really is not cool at all and you will come across as a bit of a fool if you are still smoking at this time in your life. You will begin to find that when you go to parties you are the only person smoking and that you will more often than not have to go outside to light up as most of the places you go to will be non-smoking.

Teenagers Beware

The addictive pull of cigarettes means that people are prepared to undergo the humiliation of looking stupid in order to get their hit from cigarette smoking. They also are prepared to carry on smoking despite obvious health risks. The older you get the more likely you are to get sick from cigarettes and you also start to notice that you feel terrible in the morning from smoking and that you generally are far more lethargic and unfit than people who don’t smoke.

The decision you take whether to smoke or not when you are teenager can have a big impact ten or fifteen years later. The decision will affect your health in later years and there may be nothing that you may do about it then. Parents and teachers should tell teenagers about the addictive nature of cigarettes and warm them that a decision to start smoking now could end up seriously damaging their health in the future and greatly affecting their quality of life.

Don’t live to regret smoking!
