Men and women who are thinking of quitting smoking, or who are newly reformed non smokers should be aware that very often a simple trigger is the thing that gets them smoking again. For example a stressful incident can get you thinking that it is all right to have just for one and this can mean that in a few weeks time you are back on the habit full time.

At Ukmedix News we want to warn you to be aware that when you are under pressure and stressed for whatever reason you are also very likely to experience the urge to light up. Be conscious of this so that you stay well away from any opportunity to have a cigarette when you are stressed.
If you are feeling very stressed and the urge to smoke is there you should make an effort to distract yourself from the cigarettes by doing something like going for a run or a long walk, and reminding yourself why you gave up cigarettes in the first place and focusing clearly on the positive aspects of non-smoking. We have heard reports of people quitting for as long as ten years but lighting up due to a stressful family situation for example and then soon after being unable to quit. This means that they have to go through the pain of quitting smoking yet again, which can be even more difficult than the previous time.
Stress is said to be the biggest reason why people start smoking after they have quit. Don’t become a victim of stress and learn to properly manage it in other ways than smoking. In the long term remember that the negative health effects of smoking will cause you far more stress than if you had never lit up in the first place.
The Champix smoking cessation drug has helped many people to quit for a second time as it actually works on the brain receptors that release dopamine which creates the high that smokers get when lighting up.
