You are far more likely to smoke if your family smoke too

It's not just us commoners who have a problem with the deadly habit of smoking! Ukmedix News has learned that the Crown Prince of Denmark Frederik is also having a problem quitting smoking too. His wife the Princess Mary of Denmark has told him that he really must quit smoking because she wants to ensure that he lives as long as she does and she feels his unhealthy habit will shorten his life.

Prince Frederick said that she has been extremely diplomatic about telling him he must quit. There's no doubt that positive pressure from your loved ones can greatly help you if you want to quit smoking. Prince Frederick said that he is cutting down gradually as he was a heavy smoker and he felt that he could just not go cold turkey straight away.

Prince Frederick who is 39 years old has two young children and feels that he should set them a better example as well as not smoke in their presence. It's not just quitting smoking that the prince is embarking on but he has made a commitment to a healthy lifestyle by exercising a few times a week and making sure that he gets his fair quota of vegetables and fruit everyday.

You are far more likely to smoke if your family smoke too and the Crown Princes' parents Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik and even his younger brother Prince Joachim are all smokers which will make it much harder for him to quit.

Many people say that they smoke in order to make themselves relax but research has shown that a healthy lifestyle of good eating and regular exercise is far more conducive to relaxation then lighting up a cigarette.

Ukmedix News wishes Frederick good luck in his attempt to quit smoking and we would be happy to help him with advice and information should he require it.
