Smoking can also cause kidney disease and even permanent nerve damage...

The number of health problems that smoking can cause are almost too numerous to list. For example did you know that smoking can be a serious problem for people with diabetes and that many diabetics when they quit smoking find their diabetes problem much easier to deal with? The other worrying statistic about diabetes and smoking is those diabetics who are smokers are three times more probable to succumb to heart disease than people who have diabetes and who do not smoke. Smoking has been shown to increase the amount of sugar in your blood thus making your diabetes more difficult to control.

Smoking Causes Many Different Illnesses

Most people know that smoking increases the likelihood of lung cancer and heart disease but not many people know that smoking for example can also increase your cholesterol levels and other types of fat in your blood. So even though you may be eating healthily you could still be suffering from high cholesterol purely down to the fact that you smoke.

Other things that people are really not aware of is that smoking can cause things like blood vessel problems which mean that you are likely to get foot or leg infections that are difficult to cure. Smoking can also cause kidney disease and even permanent nerve damage.

People often think that smoking will only increase the chance of lung cancer but research has shown that even cancers of places like the bladder are more likely to occur in smokers. At Ukmedix News we are making a special campaign to highlight the dangers of smoking and to educate the public about the hundreds of different ways that smoking can damage your health and ultimately lead to a poorer quality of life.

Ukmedix News is 100 percent behind the government ban on smoking in public areas because we believe that it will not only improve the health of citizens but save the government millions of pounds every year in smoking related health costs. If you think that giving up smoking is just too difficult for you, you should think of speaking to a doctor and getting a prescription for the new smoking cessation drug Champix.
