Ukmedix News has seen research done by the breakdown recovery and insurance specialist company Green Flag which makes clear that almost one quarter of UK citizens do not realise that vehicles that belong to companies and are used therefore by different members of staff come under the law banning smoking in public places.

So if you use a company car that is not just for your own use you are not permitted to smoke even if you are the only individual in the vehicle at the time. The company Green Flag owns a fleet of breakdown recovery vehicles and have now placed no smoking signs in all of the vehicles so that they become completely smoke free at all times.
On the whole the smoking ban in England has been introduced in an efficient and concise manner and the vast majority of people understood the implications of the new rules and are obeying them. However some members of the public despite the extensive advertising and information campaigns were unaware that they would no longer be allowed to smoke in a restaurant and other people were under the impression that they could still smoke in private offices if they had the consent of the other members of staff.
It is important to remember that the smoking ban is still present even if there are no other members of the public in the area that you are in. Technically this means that taxi drivers are no longer allowed to smoke in their own taxis even when they are driving alone, however this rule would be extremely problematic to enforce and is unlikely to result in any prosecutions.
Some people who smoke a lot at work and had previously been able to do so easily are finding that the new smoking rules are making it extremely difficult for them to continue their smoking habit and do their job properly at the same time. In a way this is a beneficial thing as it is putting more pressure on them to quit smoking.
