She would give up everything for good health now, but it’s just too late...

The famous Coronation Street soap opera star Liz Dawn is being forced to quit her beloved acting job due to smoking. Having smoked all her life her body is just giving up on her and she is finding it difficult to even just simply walk across the street. People who smoke all their lives often end up with a chronic lung disease called emphysema which means that even a little exercise can leave them completely out of breath. At present Liz Dawn only has about 1/3 of her lungs working properly and even though she has quit smoking her lungs have been irreparably damaged. These days she has to take a cocktail of medicines everyday to try to make her life a little bit easier and one thing is for sure that she is kicking herself that she ever lit up a cigarette in the first place. She would give up everything she owned for good health now, but it’s just too late.

Many young smokers think that they will smoke for a few years and then give up but so often this is not the case and they struggled greatly with a smoking addiction in later years. People who have never smoked will never understand how difficult it is to give up the habit. It is never too late to try to quit smoking. You will see the health benefits of not smoking almost immediately and the older you are the more likely you are likely to get seriously ill if you do not quit smoking.
