Quit Now

The only time to quit smoking is now!

When people get very ill from smoking they always say that they were thinking of giving up anyway and that they wish they had given up sooner. You should always remember two things, firstly that the longer you decide to put off giving up smoking the more difficult it will eventually be to quit, and secondly that every single day that you continue to smoke you increase the chances of yourself getting seriously sick and dying from a smoking related illness.

Quit Now

The only time to quit smoking is now!

People trying to quit smoking these days are lucky in that smoking is now banned in public places such as restaurants and bars, also that there are hundreds of organisations offering smoking cessation counseling and a number of new drugs on the market to help reduce the cravings that quitting produces.

Statistically the most effective smoking cessation medication is Champix made by the drug company Pfizer. This medication over time is designed to make you forget about smoking and actually not want to smoke. It will still take a certain amount of effort on your part and you cannot take Champix for ever but it has helped thousands of people in the United Kingdom to quit already.

Some people we have spoken to at Ukmedix News say that they don’t want to use smoking cessation medication because they are worried about the side effects that it might have. All we can say is that whatever side effects that Champix does have they are far less than the side effects of smoking, for example Champix does not give you long cancer, heart disease or emphysema!

If you decide to quit smoking you have to make yourself a promise that you will do whatever it takes to give up and if you are a hardened smoker of many years it will not be easy.
