the third most popular reason for quitting smoking is to save money

The drug company Pfizer and the strangely named Austrian Nicotine Institute have teamed up together in order to highlight the message of smoking cessation in Austria. Rather than rely on getting people to use nicotine patches or chewing gum they are looking at smoking cessation from a different angle and using a stretch limo!

Quit Smoking And Live The High Life

For some people the message that smoking is bad for you simply does not work. If they are of good health and cannot see the link between smoking and illness other incentives are required to get them to quit smoking and one of these could be financial. By quitting smoking, [which is becoming an extremely expensive habit these days] you could put the money toward something luxurious and the idea of using a stretch limo was to highlight how much more “luxurious” your life could be if you quit.

The stretch limousine will be going around various Austrian shopping centres showing people what they could buy if they quit smoking. The initiative which is called “Smoking Instead of Smoking” (it probably translates into Austrian better), is specifically designed to show the financial benefits of quitting smoking. Research has shown that the third most popular reason for quitting smoking is to save money and not necessary because of bad health.

Pfizer who make the smoking cessation medication Champix have been behind this campaign to promote the act of quitting smoking as a positive step to enable you to have a better life as opposed to you cutting out a habit that you enjoy.

Everybody is different and different people react to different stimuli in order to make them do things and saving money can be a big motivator for certain people. By highlighting what people can do with the extra cash they save when quitting smoking you can encourage people to be that much stronger when they are faced with a cigarette.

When you quit smoking you must have clearly defined reasons why you want to quit as they will be instrumental in helping you not to succumb to temptation and it is important that you regularly remind yourself why you quit in the first place.
