The world famous super model Kate Moss is rarely out of the press. Whether it’s a cocaine binge, a stormy breakup or the launch of the new fashion label the world’s press always go crazy.

The latest news regarding Kate Moss however is not quite so exciting as it only involves her trying to quit smoking. Kate Moss is a heavy smoker who gets through at least 30 cigarettes a day and sometimes as many as 40 if she goes out partying. She has tried using nicotine patches but they don’t seem to be working for her.
Kate Moss is trying to quit smoking for two reasons, firstly she doesn’t want her daughter to suffer from the effects of passive smoking and also because she realises that at the age of 34 she needs to look after her health if she wants to continue modeling for a number of years. It is no secret that quitting smoking can greatly improve your physical appearance and especially your skin.
A very high percentage of people involved in the fashion industry smoke. Models argue that they need to smoke because it helps them to keep their weight in check but this excuse is pretty weak as the damage it does to their skin and appearance is considerable. Maybe Kate Moss would benefit from using a course of the smoking cessation medication Champix which has a higher success rate in helping people to quit smoking than nicotine patches do. Another thing which could help her would be trying to stay away from people who smoke but in her line of work this could be difficult.
