The EMEA has given the official approval for the marketing by the drug manufaturer Sanofi Aventis of the fat loss drug Acomplia. The approval extends to all 25 member states of the European Union.
The weight loss drug Acomplia has been the subject of many Ukmedix news articles and is likely to become a useful tool in the fight against obesity. The drug guidelines say that it is to be prescribed to people that are obese or to overweight people who have other dangerous conditions like diabetes and dyslipidaemia. The definitions for being overweight or obese are based on using the BMI index.
The Acomplia weight loss drug has been tested very extensively and in all over six and a half thousand people were used to test the drug in clinical trials that lasted more than 2 years in all. The Acomplia drug will be sold in all EU nations in a 20mg pill provided that you get a prescription and that a doctor thinks that you meet the criteria for the weight loss drug.
The results of the testing and research on the drug clearly showed that an Acomplia pill swallowed daily lowered weight in the patients and also reduced waist circumference and even bad cholesterol levels as well as boosting the good HDL cholesterol levels. The drug makers claim that the Acomplia drug will lower your bad cholesterol and improve the good cholesterol even more than the levels expected from weight loss alone and this was confirmed by the EMEA testing and has been endorsed on the labelling of the Acomplia drug.
